'If I forget thee, Jerusalem', e numele original al cartii de Wiiliam Faulkner. Impotriva vointei lui, ea a fost publicata prima oara cu titlul 'The Wild Palms'(titlul uneia dintre cele doua povestiri care alterneaza in carte). Titlul original e inspirat din Biblie. Daca veti citi cartea, veti intelege ca el nu se refera la religie, cel putin nu in felul in care i-ar face pe atei sa strambe din sprancene. Cartea asta e prea putin mentionata. Mi se pare absolut geniala. E ca una dintre bijuteriile ratacite prin vreun sertar, atunci cand "Zgomotul si furia", "Absolom, Absolom" si celelalte sunt puse in vitrina si sterse de praf. Spun asta desi nu i-am citit inca celelalte carti.
